I'm not worried about the defense.

The way this team is constructed the offense is the defense too and if the O is going out there and putting up points, which I expect them to do, this middle of the pack defense will be fine. The defense should only have to be marginal at best. That's how this team is constructed. To think that the defense should outplay the offense would be crazy.

Problem is that our offense, literally since the triplet days in the 90s, gets off to anemic starts and before you know it, it’s 3-17 and only in the 2nd quarter.

No matter how much offensive talent we accrue, we always manage to start games off very slow and conservatively. This team hasn’t displayed a sense of urgency since the 95 season.

Legendary OLine. Top 5-7 QB. Top 3 RB. Elite WR corps. It doesn’t matter. Slow starts and putting our defense in a hole is what we been doing for 20+ years.
