Thanksgiving is a complete joke! It celebrates a history of colonization and pain for Indigenous people, but most people ignore that. Instead of being about gratitude, it’s become all about consumerism, with Black Friday overshadowing any real reflection. The environmental damage from all that mass-produced turkey is outrageous, and the food waste is simply shameful! Plus, the cultural appropriation is infuriating—people romanticize a brutal history without acknowledging the truth. Families come together, but instead of joy, there’s often conflict over political issues. It’s time to wake up and realize that this holiday is seriously messed up and needs to change! With that being said … pass the turkey.
