Hanging out with broke friends unappreciation thread

Whats worse is when they try to make you feel guilty. Had a homeboy try to guilt trip me into buying him Chinese. Talking about how when he doesn't have money his other homeboys hook him up. Yeah that's what friends do but it was not the first time he tried to shame me into buying him shyt. No longer friends.

I had a friend like this years ago who would always come out to a restaurant when there was a big group of us because whenever we'd all put money collectively on the table to cover the bill plus a bit extra for tips, dude would be all knowing he'll put down a lot less than what he actually had. He took advantage of the fact that there was a lot of us.

Same thing when we'd order food and put money together he wouldn't chip in, but would be the first to start with his ole hungry hungry hippo, slimer from Ghosbusters ass.

The funny thing is, he had a really good job with an American bank in the city where they'd pay him ridiculous bonuses but he left it over trivial reasons and didn't find much work since.

Lots of people do this and it's not even the broke ones that are always guilty. Some people are just cheap as fukk.

Then there's the guy that orders way more than everyone else then says "hey the math is too hard, let's just split it down the middle" even though some of the people just ordered an appetizer with no drink or whatever.

At one of my work get togethers, we passed the bill around and everyone was supposed to put in what they owed and when it got to the last person, it was WAYY short. It's best to never be the last guy in that situation even if you're dealing with people that seem responsible. At least one person is going to take advantage.

Got a cheap ass friend that always order from the dollar menu. Caught the nikka eating the cheese off the wrapper. Any resturant this nikka only orders fries. My meal is $40 They feel sorry for him i dont. Main one telling nikkas to get a fifth of whatever but only got $5 on it.

Why does it bother you what dude orders? He's not fancy enough to be seen with you out in public or something?

Since I'm back in graduate school, I am the broke friend living on a grad stipend. However, my family/girls always look out for me because when I had a salary, I was the type who would pay for food and drink just because I felt like it. With that being said, I still won't go out if I can't pay my own way.

I used to be that broke nikka in the crew so now that I got money, drinks on me. I'm not dumping my crew cuz I got bread & they don't. That being said, I balance it out so I'm not doing this on a regular basis & I kick it with my friends with cash so I ain't overpaying all the time

money comes and goes in circle sometimes but i know we all be fine at the end so drinks and shyt, we buy rounds of and whoever has money will spot people who don't.

but its been a while now and we are all about 25. most of us are decently successful except a couple, and i got this friend who is way too nice (makes 6 figs) and keeps on paying for this other dudes airfare/travel/food or whatever whenever we decide to hit up vegas or miami or something. i be just looking at him like dog let the man be his own. i feel like he should sit out if he cant afford it but i like having the entire crew around too
