Most people are still buying COD games for the multiplayer, not campaign.
And this isn't a good comparison anyways. There's been several good to great campaigns in COD games over the years. BF campaigns have almost always been generic trash and completely forgettable. Campaign modes really only matter in story based games like Halo or niche experiences like DOOM. BF was never known for any of this stuff, and its brand was built on being a sandbox shooter, which its been failing to deliver.
BF is already a massive brand with tons of cultural cache, They dont need to grow it any further. What they should be focused on is not losing what got them here after several failed BF games.
