Apparently there were numerous scripts from the 80s to the time that shyt got made. I can't believe that was the BEST story they could have made with these two epic monsters from our childhood. I was so angry that I wasted money at the cinema for that.
Best part of that experience was the crowd talking shyt to the screen everytime something dumb happened.

Because it wasn't....These movie studios are just fukking horrible when it comes to picking scripts and directors.
I remember when I heard about Peter Jackson's screenplay for Freddy's Dead. shyt would have been infinitely better than the bullshyt they ended up making.

freddy v jason was not total trash, it tried too hard IMO and was made pretty late. It still shyts on the remakes of both originals.
an unkillable zombie maniac is not scary. But a killable Micheal Mayers is.
Mayers goes after family and people in the way. Jason kills you just because you had sex or did drugs.
