Just in case you were wondering if Hakeem Nicks' recent foot injury might somehow linger into the regular season, the Giants wide receiver made one thing clear on Thursday morning.
He will be in action on Sept. 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.
"I don't have any doubt," Nicks said in a conference call.
On Tuesday, Coughlin said that Nicks was resting and had the foot elevated. On Thursday, Nicks had donned a walking boot and was already up on his feet. He said he was "walking around pretty good."
Nicks plans to fly back to New York City this weekend, he said. He will travel with the Giants to the White House to visit President Barack Obama on June 8, and he will rejoin the team and begin rehabbing the foot during next week.
