An acquaintance of mine went to Haiti a few weeks ago on a missionary trip. When he came back he was very disillusioned by some of the things he saw going on down there. Before he went he was very excited about going. Now he doesn't even want to talk about it.

That's a separate issue...the main point is the people's lives were better...my dad was born in 1939 (yes he's old) and his dad was born in 1916...they both spoke of fond memories of when the Americans was in control...no crime since black people are naturally scared of the white man, and streets were clean...almost 100 years later, Haiti is moving backwards...
