Based on what I've read, this looks like a bad situation.

Hopefully the country can get itself under control.

I'm not interested in engaging in another shyt show about Haiti and the DR. That has been done on this site too many times and frankly isn't relevant to what's happening now.

yep. many people don't realize that the whole deportation of Haitians from the DR thing wasn't a racial issue, it was a money issue. Martelly was playing hardball with the sale of haitians, and the dominic00n gov't didn't like the numbers.

Ever since the great Toussaint Louverture son'ed European colonialism and freed his people, things were never the same ever since the Haitian revolution. Haiti is one of the only nation in the Carribbean to suffer from the might of European power. It's not their fault why they are under the condition they're in. We all know why so there is no need to go into full details.

That's why I will always have the up most respect for Haiti despite what people are saying about the small nation. I wish more bigoted people can educate themselves more. I'm prying for the people in Haiti. Might not have that much but I'll try to donate something.

I been saying it for some months now but nikkas said I'm a self hater...us REAL Haitians already accepted that Haiti ain't shyt, never been shyt, will never be shyt...my father showed incredible foresight when he brought all 6 of his kids here to the United states...the people just don't want better...I mean, how the fukk u elect a former KOMPA singer with ZERO political experience and expect something good to happen ...we had over 200 years to get it right, and haven't...at this point it would be best for everybody involved to just let the U.S take over the place maybe they'll magically discover oil or gold or some shyt....

SInce you're misinformed, Haiti has been occupied by the US for a long while now. Same reason they wanted Martelly to have power, they know he won't do anything
