LOL@nyggas wanting to see the Prime Time Players over Natayla vs Naomi. WTF is the world coming to? This isn't the 80s and 90s tag divsion. There are no Andersons, no Brainbusters, no LOD, Demolition, The Fabolous Rogeaus..all of that shyt and those type of gimmicks are DEAD.

Good women angles do draw..the wedding rating proved that. Kharma proved that. Mickie taking over 2006 proved that. Accepting mediocrity and what bones Vince throws at you is never good. Kind of displays your true intelligence as a fan in truth.

Good women angles do draw... they do one of those every couple years at most though. At this point it's no real loss, any Natayla vs Naomi match/program they do will be 4 or 5 minutes of filler screentime at most anyways.

The way the divas division is set up now is just to fill time, I trust them to get tag teams and angles involving them right more than they would with their women.

The right tag team gimmick can still get over big if it's not a concept stuck in the 80's. Something like LAX would've gotten over big in WWE if they booked it right.

I'm for it...

IF this means they don't handle teams the way they have in recent years- let 'em get hot for about six months, then split 'em up so the members can go on to do nothing.

There's a lot of wrestlers who just aren't cut out to be singles stars... they're the ones who belong in teams. It worked for some wrestlers in the past that prob. never would've gotten over by themselves initially. It's gonna take a minute, but tag team wrestling is definitely a thing of the past that can still work with a little imagination and push. Make some dudes work together, give 'em a look, a name, and give 'em a chance to go out there and do something. Won't work for everybody, but it can if done right.

I see the Divas thing becoming less and less emphasized lately. Just a couple years back, they had like 5-6 on each show with two belts, now there's barely 6 regularly competing.

Some of ya'll are too young to know better.

If you aren't a fan of tag team wrestling then you're probably too young to remember chain wrestling & move sets. The Tag division used to be distinct, it wasn't just a pairing of whack ass singles wrestlers.

Each man on a team did something to contribute to the Team's overall gimmick. The Team's had names for a reason, and the Team's acted in a certain way to push the idea of their gimmick.

Best of all, even the power teams would run the ropes and keep the action alive inside the ring.

Tag Team wrestling used to be better than every singles titles save the World Title. And if you were a singles wrestler that had beef with a Tag Team, you were getting a beat down.

what does this have to do with the point tho. those days are LONG gone and there hasn't been a successful tag team since 2005.

That's the whole point. They want it to fail and not get over. There's a reason a Melissa and Kong comes outs to pops internationally and someone like Eve would get dead silence in India or somewhere distant. LOL@someone like Kana wrestling Kelly Kelly...that doesn't even seem right or possible because she would MURDER that little girl. Kelly Kelly taking FULL BLOWN kicks to the chests and head like that? You're conditioned to think less of women's wrestling because that's the how the WWE got you thinking. When they wanted shyt to matter, it did. They put Lita and Trish in the main event at the end of 2004 once upon a time. BOOKING makes all of this stuff happen..not the throwaway line of "they'll just get 4 minutes anyway." That's a defeatist attitude that accepts whatever those idiots in Connecticut hands them for scraps. Why are most of you like that? I have no idea. Very odd. But it's a sign of the times. When stupid shyt would get pushed, alot of people accepted it almost comically for the wrong reasons. Anyone who ever got on the Sheamus bandwaggon turned out to look like fools in the end because he became the butt of jokes to fans at the end of WM 28 weekend and the star that booking went againt Daniel Bryan is the one getting the pops of the year now, even while jobbing out.

Think for yourself and stop allowing a 66 year old man's vision of outdated concepts to remain.

Maybe I misunderstood, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the thread was about future changes to WWE's roster and that WWE would re-emphasize the importance on the tag division.

Then, some posters said that they weren't all that interested in Tag wrestling. (And that makes perfect sense given the quality of the current product.)

If Triple H wants to refocus the E's attention to Tag wrestling, he's got to bring in more teams. And, just as importantly, he has got to make Tag wrestling more entertaining.

That in-ring entertainment involves improving the athleticism and psychology of tag wrestling.

Ain't that what we talking about?

Yup. It isn't too late to re-condition fans, but that means that they will have to invest a lot of time and resources to the division.

I don't know if they have the will to do so. But they may have to do this in order to consistently fill 3 hours of Raw a week.

Monday night was already on the decline before the 3 hour block.

Need more tornado tags, especially since TLC matches are now a distant thought.

a simple/easy move they could do...have truth/kof break up or drop the belts and have AJ say shes having an open invitational for the tag titles...a 8 team tourney that takes place for 8 weeks, no ppvs except for the actual title match. Have 4 make shift teams and four legit tag team groups

PTP, Usos, Primo/epico, and Hawkins/Reks

THEN have Rey Mysterio and let's say Christian be a wild card team, the other three teams will job out...Have rey and christian barely beat hawkins and reks and then primo/epico...have them in the finals with PTP...they lose to PTP who proclaim that the new tag champs beat two former world champs and say the tag team champs deserve respect...

not even the best idea out there but it literally took five seconds of thought, it incorporates SEVERAL superstars, builds over the period of two or so months and gives atleast 16 guys something to do...the losing teams heel/face wise can continue to do stuff on smackdown/superstars and you slowly make it relevant...

Or they could borrow a move from TNA and bring in a couple of established free agent tag teams for the tourney along with PTP, Usos, Primo/epico, and Hawkins/Reks

no you're on point. my point is, that the division is hopeless and there hasn't been a legit successful tag team since 2005. the days you're talking about are long gone, its a different landscape in the wrestling world. tag matches are meaningless and boring now.

i have no faith in triple h reviving it.
