My thing is why don't they ever give dudes that 16 year old perfect hairlines, they fix Ur hairline so it still looks receding still.

You still have to use the pills. A transplant only reconstructs your hairline. It doesn't address the sides which are also affected so the pills stimulate those areas to grow more. Without them you'll have a hairline but you'll pretty much have to rock a bald fade where the hairline ends cuz the sides still won't grow right if at all. Not worth it to me for some unnatural looking shyt that still won't grow right, to each his own tho.

I'm not sure who told you that, but that's completely false, breh. A hair transplant restores growth in the areas in which the hair from the donor site is applied, and usually take about ten weeks for the full result to show. You do not have to take medication for the hair to continue growing. Of course if you're 27 and have a receding hairline and you get your hairline only fixed, when you're 34 and start losing in the back, then yeah, it will show. It's because of that fact you're usually not considered a candidate by a lot of surgeons unless you have significant balding because they have no way of determining your balding pattern otherwise.

As far as the OP, you should look up FUE hair transplant. It's a new procedure that's ideal for black men in general.

Well its what I was told from the consultations I went to, granted this was almost 10 years ago now but that totally turned me off from it. Even now I think it's dumb. Short of a real cure, I'd never try these bandaids.

Yeah, I feel you. The thing that would get me is the permanent scaring on the back of the head. Wherever the hair grafts were removed from leaves scarring on the scalp. With the new FUE Transplant method, that's not so much a factor as it is in the traditional restoration method, but still.... what if you want to rock a low cut? :patrice:

Edit: My boy text me earlier and said Kareem was talking greasy about Bean. :dwillhuh: Any truth to this?

Exactly, I asked all types of shyt when I did the consultation. I think this only works best for whites or people with their type of hair. I can't see myself growing natty dreadlocks or being able to rock a shapeup properly, if its gone its gone. It's borderline female shyt to go that hard for your hair, better come up with some stem cell type shyt that literally restores the growing ability of hair follicles.

just rock baldy for a few months (depending on your head shape :bryan:) and you'll get over it if its that bad..plus you'll open up the door to a new demographic of women :shaq:

:ohhh:You know that'd cost a grip. There'd be so many damn foreclosed homes and uninsured drivers if that shyt dropped for real.
