I'm not a big Ross fan and don't follow his music closely but I have yet to hear about him taking what would be considered a major L outside of being called out on the CO situation, and he even overcame that.
Ross and Wale both moved a decent amount of units. Meek Mill also has a nice buzz and it isn't just from a bunch of followers on blogs or forums. So I imagine he will follow suit.

Ross did not steal his name he used it like many other rappers use names of gangsters or famous people. The guy tried to extort Ross seen he had real dudes behind him and took the court road.
The other rappers stole other peoples names as well. 50 cent is one I can think of but he took a nick name, most people styled their own name like Yo Gotti. Noreaga took a real last name and latter switched it to N.O.R.E. when more fame came, Freeway took Ross's nickname.
But besides Rick Ross being the only rapper straight of taking someones name I think the problem here is how he got the beard, saying he had dealings with the Nicaraguans and shyt like the real Rick Ross did. But that was basically on 1 or 2 songs when he was coming though, after that he's built his own rep on his own.
