i dint know he created it niether. but i do remember the show. didnt redd die on the set? there were mad jokes about that shyt. like dude said "this is REALLY the big one"

I remember this show too.

I thought it lasted longer with Redd than 7 episodes.
I think they made it through about 10-13 episodes before they pulled the plug.

It was pretty good too. I think my bedtime was 9 or 10 at the time(and 11 on Saturdays) and I saw at least the first 5 episodes.

Realizing '91 was a long ass time ago :old:



Damn even if you were born in 91 you are grown and I was 9 in 91 :mindblown:

The Royal Family is an American sitcom starring Redd Foxx and Della Reese. The series was created and produced by Eddie Murphy, as part of a development deal Murphy had with CBS,[1] and produced by Paramount Television, the television arm of Paramount Pictures with whom Murphy had long been associated with.
Murphy had previously worked with Redd Foxx and Della Reese in the 1989 film Harlem Nights, which Murphy wrote and directed. It ran for one season on CBS from 1991-1992. The working title for the series was Chest Pains
