Mama Toosie or Tootsies? Something like that. Had a lot of folks recommend I check it out. Black owned and all.
Whole experience was trash. Didn't get food til about 1 hr. Service was eh. The chick at least comped us some drinks. The food itself was decent but probably left a bad taste iny mouth from the long wait. I probably wouldn't repeat if I'm back in the city again

As a former cook it shouldn’t take that long to push out orders. 20+ minutes tops something has to come out otherwise they either messing up a lot or just bad cooks ain no way around it them waking up your homie periodically but not giving an update on food is foul af I would’ve went off by that alone

DC can be boughie as fukk. Imagine all those upper middle class black kids who were in Jack and Jill (if you know you know) who grew up in luxury on account of the blood and sweat of their parents (who speak with a faux english Mid Atlantic uppity negro accent) and are of average intelligence, but they want to let you know how upper crust they are despite having middling jobs in a saturated market like DC (and probably live in PG).
