Guy got it right on the very 1st album. Guy (the album) is a masterpiece. Every single song on Guy is a classic.

Teddy knew how to do both the uptempo joints and the slow joints.

The back half (songs 6 through 13) of that Forever My Lady album is straight ass.....but the first 5 songs are classic

I like GUY better than Forever My Lady as a whole....but thats the only Jodeci album I prefer it over

This thread is slowly becoming a Teddy Riley appreciation thread...so might as well do the honors. Teddy's best work imo



This track alone summarize R and B to the fullest. Melodies, chords, a reasonable temp, and soulful singing. It's crazy how MJ didn't hop on this track, but Levy manage to put the shyt to shame. Sad to hear such a voice not getting much recognition outside of Blackstreet once the split happened because holy shyt dude tore this track up something serious.

Yup. I've always wanted to hear a demo (if it exists) of Michael singing this song. I mean, you can just hear Michael singing this even when you listen to Levy singing.

The strings on this song were beautiful. Man!

I'm not a huge fan of slow jams/ "baby making music" so I really liked FML's NJS songs like It's Alright and Treat U ( which is somewhat recycled from their song with Father MC)
