Oh it's those things too. But they honestly believe that those things will change if they become their own city. They think they will create their own police force and the crime will decrease significantly. I can't say I agree with that, because like you said that wont stop people from coming there from ATL, BUT, they have been emboldened by events of the past. Remember when all those clubs and bars existed in Buckhead? Then there were violent crime issues, most notably the Ray Lewis double murder case and the Big Meech/ Wolf shootout. So what happened? Al that sh!t was torn down, and replaced with Buckhead Village. There's a Hermes now right by where Wolf got killed. You're not exactly disagreeing with me - wouldn't blaming ATL people(blacks) for the uptick in violent crime come under good ole fashioned southern racism?
Point being, these are the people that will likely make up a significant portion of Young Thug, Gunna, and Luccis juries.
