Warriors center Marreese Speights escaped unharmed early Monday morning after he had a gun pulled on him outside of a downtown San Francisco nightclub, KTVU-TV reported.
Speights was outside the Cellar Night Club on Sutter Street when a convicted felon pulled a gun on him in a nearby parking lot, law enforcement sources told KTVU. There was an attempt to steal Speights’ gold chains but the 6-foot-10, 255-pounder ran away, according to the sources.
Speights was no injured during the incident, but he had his worst shooting game of the season later that night in a home victory over Oklahoma City. Speights made just one of eight shots and scored six points in the Warriors’ 117-91 win.
San Francisco police officers captured and arrested the alleged gunman.
