What a lot of these people may not realize is that white people are really segregated from the rest of the populace at large. it's not unheard in 2019 for a white person to grow up to adulthood and then having their first in-person black or {other minority} encounter. A significant number of them have personal interactions for the first time with other races in college, the ones who never went tend to hold even worse stereotypical views. meanwhile black people encounter other races especially whites before we can even speak. from Nurses, doctors, teachers to cashiers and law enforcement. the majority of white peoples "knowledge" of us is through media we don't even control.
