It is acting like it doesn't happen. There's a difference between saying, "Someboody got shot." And seeing somebody getting shot.

People are victims to what most of the Western World would consider extreme and barbaric violence everyday and there is no mobilization to do anything to stop it besides talking about it because nobody actually sees it. We just get told it happens and we are like, "Okay it happens." There are assassinations, mass shootings, executions, street justice, mass rapes, and lynchings. There's a clear emotional response from hearing about it to seeing one.

This is why it was important for Emmit Till's face to be seen.

The world knew Black folks were being lynched but the world never seen the aftermath of one.

People need to see what life is like for the majority of the world and the disadvantaged. People need to see the world's ills instead of being sheltered from the consequences of our actions, so they can continue to go about their day as if it doesn't happen.

They guy that did it said his biggest inspiration was Candace Owens.

I literally don’t know what to even do with this information. Incredibly sad and disheartening doesn’t describe it.
