My city is getting pretty ugly.
These young nikkas in the hood are going wild doing reckless shyt. It's time to tool up I dont own a gun currently.

What should I get as a good handgun?

I've got my eyes on a Glock .357 Sig

Yes, the glock .357 won't let you down.

Edit:Try the sig 229 which can also hold 357 rounds.

Like what everybody said above, go to the range and spend some money trying different guns. Guns are expensive; you do not want to drop 500+ on a handgun you hate to shoot. Glocks have an excellent reputation; I like the S&W M&P, they come in 9mm, 40 and 45 .

You like Springfield though? I've had issues with the XD's in the past.

I bought a 40 cal XD after I saw Bad Boys 2 in theater.
Heavy as shyt and it always sounded loose, no quiet carry.

Get a 9mm. Wide range of bullet grains and ammo is readily available. 40 cal done had a good run but the cons outweigh the pros . Hell, even the FBI is switching from the 40 back to the 9mm.

Yeah, bullet technology has made the round somewhat obsolete. At this point it's an answer to a problem that doesn't exist anymore. I still enjoy shooting it out of steel frame guns though.

Yeah, the Rangers are no joke. They used to be called Black Talons because of the way they expand. I keep a mix of bonded and non-bonded alternated in my self defense magazines.
