Legal brehs, school me in the conviction and sentencing process.

How come AH can be convicted and sentenced on the same day, when other cases I've seen have the defendant convicted but come back later for sentencing?

Does the process change based on state the trial is in or the offence being charged?
In Massachusetts, a 1st degree murder guilty verdict carries an automatic life sentence.

I watched a documentary on breh, apparently his pops who he was very close with and helped him with his football career randomly died of a heart attack and it crushed him. He started doing that dust to cope, and here we are as so many of those stories end up.

link??????

I think I know the doc you're talking about...IINM it was the CNN one last summer. This was all I could pull up.

Also found this in the SI Vault...
Dennis Hernandez died in January 2006 at the age of 49 from complications following routine hernia surgery. Known as the King during his days as a star tailback at Bristol Central, Dennis lettered at UConn in 1976 and worked as a custodian at Bristol Eastern, the town's other high school. Around Bristol, he was known for towing around his sons, Aaron and older brother D.J., everywhere he went. "When you saw Dennis, you saw his boys," says DeSantis. "They were his heart; they were his life."

Dennis's sudden death devastated Aaron (who did not respond to SI's interview requests). "Everyone was close to my father, but I was the closest," Hernandez told USA Today in 2009. "I was with him more than my friends. When that happened, who do I talk to, who do I hang with? It was tough."
Hernandez admitted to testing positive for marijuana while at Florida; shortly after the '10 draft, The Boston Globe reported that he told NFL teams his marijuana use had helped him cope with the loss of his father.
Nelson says that Hernandez would fail drug tests after his trips home to Connecticut, and that Meyer began to discourage Hernandez from going home. Hernandez's relationships with Florida teammates Tebow and the Pouncey twins, Maurkice and Mike (both now centers in the NFL), helped him immensely in Gainesville, according to Nelson. "He's had trouble with some drugs, but it's never gone anything past [that]. I don't see violence in him."

Aaron Hernandez is a fukking a$$hole. He definitely killed multiple people. Prisons were built for people like him. It doesn't matter about race...he murdered people with no fukks given. He's been that way for a long time, he thought there was no way he would get caught. He shot his boy Alex Bradley in the face. Though it was some sort of an accident, he was still driving around with a loaded gun and pointed it at his face and shot him. He fukking killed the dude over a fukking spilled drink and threw his life away. No remorse for this dude.

The state has nothing to do with it. Some crimes carry automatic sentencing upon conviction

All these dumb ass cats saying "how was he convicted" and wondering why his lawyer admitted to him being on the scene. read the fukking case notes

He couldn't prove he wasn't at the scene and overwhelming evidence proved he was there. At that point it doesn't matter if he was the gun man, if there's witness's or even if a weapon was recovered.

fukk him. Nothing will happen to him or anyone he's around in jail though, most likely will be on 23/1 for the rest of his life

Back in MIA
Walpole is probably the worst prison in Massachusetts population wise. It used to be notorious back in the 80's as one of the most violent prisons in the country. I used to go visit family there.

The other prison murderers go to in Massachusetts is Souza. It's a Supermax so naturally they have better control over the population.

They'll probably keep him locked up in protective custody for the first few years but I'd imagine that they are going to release him to general population sooner or later.

The ironic thing about all of this is that to get to Walpole you take the exact same route as you would if you're going to Gillette Stadium. But instead of going straight on route 1 for 2 miles to get to Gillette you take a right.

That seriously has to be one of the worst feelings, when the uncuff you after they lock the cell and you go sit on the bed

even worse when you could be chilling in a million dollar house on a nice Spring day with not a care in the world. Or you could be laying on a beach off the coast of Italy thinking about how cool ur life is.

Instead you're in a 2 man cell with ya homie lil half-dead.

:wow:
