A non black woman being the co lead of a tv show about Black radicals? Why is that controversial?

I know that. You're missing the point. The female lead on a show about a black movement should be black. They dont have her cast as a black woman though
LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT ******S, the oppressed minority within our minority. Always down. Always out. Always complaining that they can't catch a break. Notoriously poor about doing for themselves. Constantly in need of a leader but unable to follow in any direction that's navigated by hard work, self-reliance. And though they spliff and drink and procreate their way onto welfare doles and WIC lines, ******s will tell you their state of being is no fault of their own...

Agreed
I thought this was a true story
Huey Newton staring Will Ferrell.Just imagine a movie about the Black Panthers and Jennifer Lopez is the main star.
And folks were going in on Sam Jackson for talking about different perspectives of Black Americans.
Fake story. A journalist asked John Ridley a question during a Q&A screening for the show and the U.K. Tabloids claims "Black Lives Matter activists" attacked Freida Pinto. She's an actress so I tend to take these stories with a grain of salt
