I wish him success, but when you start pandering to this white hipsters who see you as nothing but a mascot or a embodiment of how "ironic" you are I get sad, because you are playing a minstrel character to them, they aren't listening to what you are saying on a real tip.

He's not pandering to anyone. The white hipsters came to him. Diplo made FREE GUCCI on his own, he wasn't asked by Gucci to do it. People who are not trappers like his music. They offered him a check, he took it. His job is to sell music to EVERYONE. Not just what The Coli deems okay.

As far as digging as deep as you are, the guy raps about money and bytches most of the time. Why does anyone really 'need to listen to him' and dive deep? You act as if he has 'Nature Of A Threat' type songs all over the place.

The term is older, comes from the area/The Growlers. It's more surfer punk with those whiny ass goth lyrics hence the BEACH part of it. Confusing for people who aren't from the area, for sure but it's not some new hipster thing.

For those of you who aren't from Southern California, due to the area and amounts of people, festivals with all types of music like this are not new, weird, or something we don't see every year. In Southern California there are more non-white people than white people at just about every show so.....not just for white hipsters.

the only i had at that beach goth festival was looking at the rest of the rap acts they had lined up. gucci seems a bit left field for the rest of the lineup, but thats not gucci fault, thats the festivals fault

Hipsters black or white were heavy on the Gucci Mane train for at least six years.

His music is so rich (sonically) that it can transcend different groups of people from black doctors to white musty skater kids, and he should nor does he control who gets attached to his music.

How they seem him quite frankly is irrelevent outside of the fact they're patronizing his work, which in turn puts money in his pocket to fund future endeavors at his mercy.
