People kill me telling people what people shouldn’t buy, just because you don’t think it’s a good idea. These are the same people that’s probably copping 400 resold Js, or buying luxury purses like Louie and Gucci.

News flash cars ARE NOT CHEAP I wish they were. New Cars cost out the ass, and guess what Used Cars do as well. Which is ironic cause your used car is doing a solid job holding some resale value. Your car is an investment if you want to invest in an old ass car that is a liability that’s a money pit then go ahead my friend do you.

Dealers are charging over MSRP. You get there it will be 40k by the time you get out.

Again bootstrappers this is how people wind up paying 1k
This is common knowledge to anyone who has visited a dealer in the past 3 years or hell...maybe ever.
Those listed prices are just to get you to the dealership.

Unless you go there armed with a substantial amount of cash, and probably also Bank/credit union pre approval, you will be paying significantly more.

Let's make a ban bet. I will go to a few dealerships within the next couple of weeks. Guarantee you I find a new vehicle under $30k.

Y'all so confident. Should be easy bet right?
After all taxes and markups? You will be dealing with a very specific class of car which I already told you everyone cannot go for.

Feel free to do your experiment.

Nobody said you can't on average across the board people are paying more because cars across the board are expensive :bryan:. You can take that ban bet with yourself anecdotal evidences doesn't mean you're right.

Thats lack of common sense, america needs financial literacy to be taught to its citizens from as low as elementary school, pay 1000 monthly on a depreciating asset with wear and tear isn't smart at all

Folks are stupid. Long as somebody willing to pay it somebody willing to sell it for that price :manny:

People need to let the auto market reset. The problem is people are narcissists who see cars as an extension of themselves and are willing to ruin themselves financially over impressing people who don't care about them.
I can tell there's a lot of :flabbynsick: posting

The average price for a used car has actually doubled in the past 10 years.

This is not all just people being reckless with finances or trying to impress

cars are high anywhere you go. you can't shake high interest and dealers charging 2k-10k more for used cars that aren't even worth the extra

Thats now. This shyt with these car prices won't last too much longer. We're only 3 years into this dilemma anyway. And even still, a larger portion of americans still won't find themselves having to buy a $50k+ car. Y'all stats collide with other stats y'all post about income and they dont add up.

A basic economy car DOES NOT add up to $1000/month payments. The guy in the video was driving a new Mustang GT which goes for $40k easy, that's not a basic car.

All these folks complaing about $48k average price are buying luxury and sports cars. Mustang GT, Scat Pack, A3 Audi, BMW 3 series.

They skipping over basic cars and then complaining about high monthly payments.
