Barbados has to have one of the highest percentage of fast food places. Chefette and KFC everywhere you turn especially combined with chefettes marketing , lack of time to prepare meals and most people are constantly stuck in a loop of eating fast food.

I also remember fierce opposition from the local private sector here to these labels

JA the same, it's crazy popular, it is better than what we have in UK for sure though, but still shocks me how popular it is. Drive through queues always long.

Burger King popular too, for some reason McDonald's flopped over there and they pulled out the Island.

Been reading about dieticians and nutritionists working with different communities over this exact issue. Puzzles me that people wouldn't ditch certain foods, even after being diagnosed with disease, but have family members who couldn't/wouldn't do it either. Glad that people are working to develop compromises.
