Griselda is one of the wackest and corniest collective of rappers I've ever heard

They put out a bunch of dope music and had their run but it petered out. They all thought they could be Jay Z but that lane no longer exists, so now they're just going through the motions

That said people who relentlessly hate on them and can't stop whining about the drumless loops are doing way too much

I liked some of the Tana Talk albums and From A King To A God like mentioned but I never liked Gunn and some of their projects really started to sound the same and they got stagnant fast after that little run they had in the late 010s. Some good shyt in there but nowadays I would definitely pass and heard what they had to offer (Their best is behind them). Rome Streetz though and Mach as mentioned are dope IMO, Kiss the Ring was Fire.

Yeah they had that window where they were new and putting out some solid music that sounded like hardcore East Coast 90s type or early 00s even but as you said it petered out and quickly after that.... Nowadays I would not really look forward to an album from them and haven't in a minute (Since Rome Streetz Kiss The Ring and From King To A God I stopped). Benny's Burden Of Proof was dope though, he is probably my fave from the Camp.

They definitely put a battery in a stale sub genre of hip hop but from that point on there was zero evolution and it became a generic play by numbers approach. Gunn should have retired in 22,Conway still shows glimmers of what made him a fan favorite,Benny was the breakaway star imo but turned out to have limited range when it came to his projects. They should focus on bringing in new artists with Gunn A&R'ing the projects.

That’s the problem with one trick ponies, they are usually not meant for broader audiences.

Niche music is for niche people.

Unless that type of rap is your shyt, you will get bored real quick. Just like the Houston 2005, gripping grain, wood grain, candy paint, purple lane shyt.

some things are just meant to be underground.

Army of the Pharaohs is way better than Griselda. :yeshrug:

Benny's dad is a cop just like Freddie Gibbs', I've been told. Conway is an Eminem dikksucker.
