Staples atually has varied subject matter, Griselda not so much.
And maybe they were better than Dave East at one time but he has released stronger projects more recently. And if he's trash well then what's Griselda nowadays .

Keep in mind, we are not in the era of the mid/late 90s anymore where hardcore gritty east coast music is still a dominant factor so to think that a group like Griselda would hit the same way like Lox or Mobb Deep in a Plaiboi Carti/Lil Uzi Vert/Drake/Lil Nas X era is unrealistic.
So I'll ask the question again, if Griselda isn't on a Mobb Deep/Lox level in this current era then which rappers are? Just answer that question and don't deflect.

They've been stale for awhile now. Zero artistic growth and still touring the same venues they were 5 years ago. I just don't understand how someone like Benny talks about Hov so much yet didn't seem to understand that Jay's lyrical topics expanded with each album. He wasn't talking exclusively about bricks by album 4-5. Yet that's all Benny talks about on album after album.

G Rap specified the likes of Nas, Mobb Deep and Canibus being in that lyrical tier was his justification for doing songs with them. So when G Rap puts Griselda on his very own album thats G Rap himself acknowledging that he believes they are on the same tier. I don't remember the interview but it was the one where G Rap was asked why he linked up with Necro and he brought up the whole "tier" talk. So when you say "none of them are" on that Lox/Mobb Deep and G Rap says otherwise, I'm gonna look at G Rap as being way more credible.
