@nikkahs B. Wildin

You be using any special marinade or brining?

I always brine, i/e soak the chicken in salt water before grilling (its just a habit I can let it soak while I warm the grill up and get the seasonings and shyt ready). Recently I did some bootleg ass chicken, I wanted to grill but I'm tired of going all out, so I got some store brand marinades, like

and honestly it wasn't bad...I tried a couple different flavors cause the shyts only $1 maybe a lil more and like I said if I just want some grilled chicken but dont want to combine a whole bunch of my own spices or chop up vegetables and blend herbs like when I make jerk chicken (which I made twice in 2 weeks recently)-- this shyt aint half bad.

Thats recently what ive been doing is just getting some half price ass chicken and steaks, like the shyt they are about to throw out, thats on clearence like buy 2 get 1 free or 5 for $5 and i'll buy some what Ive always called bootsy ass marinade and just let it do what it do. Something like this kroger brand lemon pepper marinade aint nothing but 1/4th cup of lemon juice, 1/4 water, 1/2 cup of olive oil, and maybe a tablespoon of black pepper, a lil salt....its nothing special but the lemon juice alone whether I buy fresh lemons or buy prebottled lemon juice costs more than this marinade and it gets the job done. Using fresher herbs and seasonings will always provide a better flavor but its not anything you have to be a snob about.

shyt im gonna hit up aldi on saturday and get some cheap chicken, pick up some cheap marinade and wild out on sunday.

Yeah I've tried a bunch of the store bought marinades most of them are too thick and end up burning on the grill. The one you posted are really the only types I get now because of that lemon. Its the best thing to get to penetrate that meat. Or a vinegar based one. Haven't tried brining think I'm going to try that this weekend

I've been eating trout and cod like the shots going extinct. I don't like salmon salmon to me has a weird ass taste I'll choke it down but I don't enjoy it.
Man I didnt even grill anything yet... :stopitslime:

End of August maybe...:francis:

It's tough I went and flipped the script and have been eating pretty much nothing but fish and vegetables for a minute.

I've been mostly steaming them because it's easy :yeshrug:

I plan on grilling some fish at some point.

Ive just been too lazy to get a whole fish and plank it. But I'm going to.

Meanwhile I run across pictures every so often

I'm in charge of grilling for a party on Sept 17th. I'm doing beef brats and burgers. Might surprise the cats with some beef bacon too.
