So crazy that he was so good without even striking people out ...all his pitches were hittable...and were hit right to the 3rd basemen’s glove :wow:

i haven’t even followed baseball deeply in like the last 10 years cuz it’s so boring now..is there anyone that has a similar style? Right now it seems it’s either they strike everyone out, or give up a home run

How did maddux glavine and smolts only win 1 ring. Sheeesh
While they weren’t the favorite in 1994 (Montreal was) they did lose 1 postseason to the strike.

They SHOULD have beaten the Yankees in 1996. Even if that Yankees team was good, they had a 2-0 lead in the series. As much as Jim Leyritz’s home run was a huge moment, I think the real killer was Game 5. Smoltz was dominant for 8 innings and Andy Pettite pitched into the 9th of a 1-0 Yankees victory.

If Atlanta wins that game, momentum shifts and maybe they take the series.

1997 they ran into a hot Marlins team.
1999, nobody was beating those Yankees.
