yea im sorry this is setting a precedent that I don't think will be easy at all to walk back. every american should see this as a defining moment for times ahead. unfortunately there will be many of our growing peasant class who will support this motion. there will also be many of our peasant class who will supercharge their hate against jewish people. both of these movements work in favor of the US government and American imperialism.

sick stuff man

Exactly breh, I feel like a lot of folks are genuinely downplaying how bad this could/will become:francis:

This is basically them throwing out this man's legal/constitutional rights and ignoring due process. So who's next?

Yall keep bringing up a green card when he's a legal resident. He's already gone through the paperwork and paid the fees to be on his way to becoming a citizen. The stupidity that Trump and his crew are banking on from people to allow them to maximize harm on them is insane. People are in here nonchalantly cheering the path to their rights being reduced if not abolished.

Americans are ingesting and believing an incredible amount of propaganda right now.

These ppl don't care about anything and that wouldn't change if it involved Black ppl

This. Most of these shytposting clowns just come here out of boredom and because they get some weirdo self-entertainment from trying to rile up faceless strangers they'll never meet on a message board.

They're too uninformed and stupid to think past anything besides getting the next dap or edgy zinger off. Anybody with one-tenth of a functioning brain cell can see how terrifying this situation is. They are shredding The Constitution in plain site while millions of people collectively hit the :manny:

You should have rights as a “US person” which can’t be infringed upon at a whim. A green card holder is a US person.

Khashoggi was murdered by the Saudi crowned prince during Trump’s first term, and the administration simply shrugged their shoulders inspite of him having been a green card holder for years

@OGBlackRedGuard
“YOU CAN’T JUST EXPECT COLLEGE PROFESSORS TO BE ACTIVISTS, THEY’LL LOSE THEIR JOBS!!!”

people lost their jobs during the civil rights movement. people lost their homes in the civil rights movement. people lost their husbands and wives during the civil rights movement. people lost their wives and husbands during the civil rights movement. people are dying because of us, and you really expect me to care about some middle class white folks’ jobs. fukk them jobs.

@1masoren
People are being black-bagged for mild op-Ed’s at this point. If somebody losing their job is too far a consequence, I don’t know how to explain that things are going to get so, so, so much worse.

3/59
@seizethebanks
This. I’m going back to college next week with the hopes of becoming a teacher expressly so I can agitate the youth for revolution. If I get fired someday that will be the whole point. I don’t understand how cowards can become teachers.

4/59
@SAVoltolin
I'm an activist.

They fire me, they'll get an ugly public lawsuit.

Guess you all can't be any more hateful racists that you are. When are you "fools" going to realize there's really only one race.

"The FOOL has said in his heart NO GOD." Ps 14:1

7/59
@secondcivilw4r
I think the point they’re making is that a couple thousand professors would lose their job and it wouldn’t advance any of your goals, it’s essentially throwing away your job for nothing.

But then again, if leftists were capable of second order thinking they wouldn’t be leftists

8/59
@10pillar
This isn't the civil rights movement, you clown.

9/59
@TSRxGygax
That right!!! I hope those professor lose everything! Stand up for your beliefs and lose!

10/59
@norasaysthings
Get over yourselves. Read the rules—they’re in English, not Arabic. Broken agreements mean broken contracts. Stop trashing the country that lets you live here. Embarrassing to everyone who actually came here for a better life —but that’s cultural differences for you.

11/59
@Midnight_Dasher
Trump supporters weren't afraid of losing their jobs, they organized to defend themselves politically and bail themselves out of jail.

12/59
@CalvinDeu
It's entirely likely they'll lose their jobs if they don't become activists.

13/59
@KidneyEnvy
Absolutely. The principled academics can, will, and do lose their jobs knowing those are the stakes. The ones who stay in academia long-term generally won't take a meaningful stand that will risk their positions, power, privilege, etc. hence why/how they remain in that position.

14/59
@terminalwords
College professors (and others) lost their jobs by the hundreds for opposing the war against Vietnam.

15/59
@Leo52846989
Ah so this is why I couldn’t get into grad school.

16/59
@ChristophWillll
This person needs deporting

17/59
@deepestsouth

18/59
@SamwiseJayMor
I basically did lose my job for Palestine. People ought to get used to it.

19/59
@bluebear1312
The vast majority of Civil Rights Movement organizing was thoroughly strategized and people were trained for. People should absolutely take actions w/ big risks, including job loss, but not wantonly. Otherwise it’s just voluntarism

Sometimes we have to make sacrifices and fight for what’s right.

22/59
@MaggieOfNone
They threatened to quit at Yale in 2019, an entire department, and the university had to listen. Most of the same professors have not been signing the petitions going around. Academia breeds experts who don't believe in what they teach. Like the whole economy, it's fraudulent

23/59
@FTtheMusician
That and a lot of professor have tenure too (and knowing what some professors can get away with, protesting against genocide compared to all that is really nothing)

24/59
@DrNoFaceMD
I stand with the middle class white folks. Now and always.

25/59
@GingerInGA00
The father of unions, Eugene Debs, was imprisoned for an Op Ed.

26/59
@ArahnidAnansi
We need to be organized and provide support though, can't expect people to lose their jobs over shyt if there is no one to back them up.

27/59
@AnarchistClass
Civil rights activists in the 60s skewed towards people who were less likely to lose their job, who could afford to lose their job, or who didn't have a job anyway. Students, priests, non-profit staff, union staff, unemployed, etc.

28/59
@AgnesGueco
This is such a privileged take. Not everyone can afford to lose their jobs because finding a job in this economy is already extremely difficult and, especially for immigrants, losing their jobs means losing their right to stay in the US.

29/59
@klaraKrolik
And people lost their husbands and wives because maoism exists

30/59
@TeeVeeInspector
antithesis of our current moment

@RoFaPNW
Now, THAT'S funny

33/59
@AceQq10
I'm still waiting for that law which says Everyone can access their basic needs .... motivation to work comes from being an important part of your caring community.... not from fear of losing access to what you need

34/59
@LeftyTexasEMT
It will get worse. People will actually die. People will go to prison. Revolutions are never pretty. I know I'm willing to die and go to prison for the cause

35/59
@sny_walker
fukk. THEM. JOBS.

36/59
@TDreezo
I feel like this is more complex a subject matter than just “fukk them jobs”. Would you tell that to someone who worked for 10 years and just got their dream job that helps people? Use some nuance but otherwise I mostly agree

37/59
@GoldBoxRPGGuy
Bro give it a rest. I realize you're a friendless loser with no family but some of us have responsibilities.

38/59
@Comfylightfoot
You also can’t expect every American to give a fukk about a war that isn’t ours.

39/59
@SeanDonohue12
Take this more seriously if it wasn't an anonymous account.....glass houses my guy.

Foreign agent promoting terrorism and civil unrest. You can't hid behind the spin anymore because we see you.

42/59
@firstnamenumber
Uh oh, someone’s snap benefits are late

43/59
@Snohwie
These people's only way of resistance is to run away and maintain their comfort. Run to Canada, Europe, etc. or run as they watch their students vanish into thin air. These academics aren't the defenders of democracy folks think

44/59
@WayneRocks3
You mean communist professors who should have been fired or not even given a place because of their ultra far left maxist belief.

45/59
@rtard_detector
of course the jobless armchair communist doesn't understand the value of a job. the only thing you do is post all day on twitter such that one cannot easily scroll down to post from only 2-3 days ago

46/59
@EtienneCote4
You first. It's real easy to tell others to sacrifice while you sacrifice nothing. You want people to follow? Lead by example. You sacrifice your job,and family support first.

47/59
@DukeofTrausnitz
As organizer, it’s your job to convince people of the necessity of taking risky action. do this through structured organizing conversations. Lecturing people about how they are cowards if they don’t participate is not an effective means of convincing them

48/59
@MichaelSapirUSA
Abducted by ICE. Use the correct legal term Rep, AOC. Dangerous, criminal Illegals are being apprehended and returned to their own country’s for incarceration. These illegal criminals should’ve never been allowed in this country in the first place if Biden wasn’t so incompetent!

49/59
@CushingAgnes
The problem is you are supporting terrorism and harassing and threatening Jewish students and faculty. You are violating their civil http://rights.Do that you should be fired.

50/59
@mdw175
You are advocating for people to lose their jobs for Islam to colonize Israel again.

51/59
@TheKarlKolchak
College professors already are activists, just cowardly, shytty ones.

52/59
@AGRO9230
lol try living in capitalism with no job, if you can work you should be working, you’d have a job in North Korea or china.

53/59

56/59
@LevyNoah14
You should be an model for everyone. Sacrifice your job first so other people can see & follow your lead.

57/59
@DokiEnjoyer
Why should i care about you more than me?

58/59
@vaporloop
Make sure you make your names and faces public.

@JoeBlow92018511
Jobs are kinda a big deal for us. Plus we like our lives and want to enjoy
