He still made the movie what it was. The same with Heath Ledgers Joker. He wasn't in The Dark Knight that much either but the portrayal was so great it made the movie
The Joker had quite a bit of screen time. Definitely more than Hopkins did in Lambs probably double the time Hopkins had.
