On the grand scale of things, the fact a black man who was employed my a white man to create something. Whether it be a traffic light, internet, mop etc doesn't impact the advancement of black people.

So even though these inventions and creations advance human civilization in general, regardless of ethnicity, its still an overall L for blacks?

I keep trying to explain to this guy that it is the fault of the society not the inventor. He's trying to blame a black man for inventing open heart surgery because unfortunately the system misappropriated knowledge. Science does not pledge allegiances to ethnicity, religion, or any other personal agenda. It can be MISAPPROPRIATED for such causes, but it makes zero sense to say open heart surgery only advanced whites when all people have hearts. That's like saying electricity was only invented for whites simply because 3rd world countries didn't have access to it at the time.
