I can handle a question that was directed to me, smart a$$...
1) A-rod left a city that was in love with him and a team (seattle) that would have been a perennial contender, to go play for a state with a football culture, and no reasonable expectation of winning for the duration of his contract. This laid bare where his priorities lie as an athlete (personal greed).
2) Is a cliche-spitting, goody-two shoes acting, white-washed machine of an entity, who has tried to cultivate this family guy, good natured image, when by all accounts his behavior completely belies his plastic facade.
3) No coincidence that 80 plus years of Boston futility, and yankee superiority, evaporates the year of his arrival in the most humiliating fashion possible. The A-Rod era, to me, is personified by that weenie swat of the first baseman's glove as the Yankees were going down in flames of the worst collapse in playoff history. All his fault? No, but he helped establish that culture, which was the complete opposite before the arrival of the A-Rod brand. If you are going to be the 250 million dollar niqqa, then own it.
4) Other great players had to sit back and watch this guy accumulate riches and props, when all the while he was hiding his cheating ways behind an insufferable, and insincere smile.
5) Madonna and Kate hudson?????????????????????????????????
I could go on and on...
the funny thing is that the Yankees get ripped for always waiting for the HR. Now they won't have to. There's maybe 3 power hitters left in that lineup (4 if you wanna include Ibanez, and there's probably just gonna be 2 left after next year, 1 if by some chance we don't re-up Cano)
yea ok. He got $104MM to go plus potential $6MM per home run milestone bonuses.
The "A" in A-Rod now stands for "Abuelito".
Abuelito Rodriguez.
fukkin? How do you tear a labrum??
Cano and his agent must be laughin' their asses off somewhere. YOU KNOW he gonna ask for A-rod money next year...
