Americans being in private school wouldn’t prevent shyt like redlining, the 2008 housing crisis, systemic racism engrained in every institution in America, infrastructure being purposely allowed to fall apart in black communities like pipes for drinking water leading to lead exposure etc

Trying to blame black peoples issues on public schools would be like trying to blame people not using paper straws for global warming and shows a complete ignorance towards the history of the black struggle in America.

You’re also completely removing the common man’s ability to vote on School boards and people who can get into office and fix schools and surrendering yourself to people who own large swaths of private schools luke Betsy devos who would actively work to deprive black kids of a good education. It’s a dumb argument.

The correct argument is “what do we need to do to fix public schools”. Public/private partnerships are not only the most expensive kind of thing the government can offer it’s citizens it also always has the worst outcomes. Right wingers poison the well on government programs by defunding them to make people eliminate them and then privatize them to get rich while making outcomes of those private things worse.

It’s a grift, and it’s been going for a long time. The idea that America hadn’t benefited from public school is a lie and bullshyt.
