I go 50/50 with this Dame thing all the time. In addition to what you said, hes always injured now too that hes older.
Dame/mikail isnt really doing anything but keeping us entertained. Who else will even be on the roster?
Im in the no camp today but then i think of the alternative and I cant watch spencer anymore.
In terms of our off season I am
A) If scoot is available @ 3 I’ll drop Mikal at the airport myself, If Sharpe is involved I’d drive Mikal on a bike all the way to Portland
Fire sale the team and go all in youth (maybe grab a pic or two of ours back)B) Nothing major just upgrade the roster around Mikal and be a 8-6 and be mid asf.
Z) Trade for Dame.
We talked about tanking doesn’t work and I had time and actually looked at the Championship winning rosters the last decade and some change…. You’ll see commonalities. I think people do themselves a disservice thinking a champ team and a “top 4 seed and make some noise in the playoffs” are the same (looking at you, Philly).
You either have an arguable GOAT (CLE, LA, MIA), a homegrown superstar and traded/signed supporting cast (MIL, DAL), an homegrown supporting cast and traded for the superstar (TOR), or both an homegrown superstar + organic supporting cast (GS, SAN).
I didn’t see a team that solely traded for their best #1-#4 players (which if we do win with dame is what we’d most likely have to do).
Could this be coincidence? Sure, or maybe championship winning teams arnt built on paper.
I think the outlier of Lebron’s talent really fukked up a lot of people’s perception
& fukk it, for a team that’s so “anti-tanking” we sure did show em how it’s done

The price for Dame shouldn’t be as much as KD if we don’t have to give up everything we should get him.
Dame fits what we need right now. Good leader and another star that can hit big shots for us. He’s never played with a two way star like Bridges and team full good defenders .
If they ask for too much , hang up on them.
But imo this statement gives us leverage
