Tell them you've always wanted to be on a jury to be in a position of power over another's meaningless life and you love seeing handcuffs as it makes you think about this one time in band camp.

jury duty was smooth i learned a lot about our justice system and i got to miss work plus go home after a few hours

Did you get a summons and have to register online?* If yeah, you just lost it in the mail

If you have to go, just constantly look at the clock and act like you post in Higher Learning

*I got summoned and had to register, I did the first time because I thought I'd be able to help a breh or brehette not get fukked over...it ended up being a Hispanic bytch accused of stealing tires so all my compassion flew out the window

You get like three chances to object:

• If you have any moral objections (made up some bullshyt about being a libertarian)
• why the timing is wrong (said I had job interviews coming up, I didn't)
• If you have any biases (I said, "I'm a minority too, but come on " - judge was a breh too )

You don't get selected for jury duty living in those areas, they avoid us in the courtroom because they're afraid we won't take the police officers side on principle.

Don't be too obvious, because the judge can keep you there until 5 or 6, some faq tried getting out of it the same way but he was really obvious, he got picked

I would try to get on if you could help a Black person, otherwise just tell em it causes financial stress, bring up the small pay the court gives you then be

I had to go last year and the judge was a young fine lil lightskinned sister I was so visually annoyed with everybody else dragging their answers out that I ain't get chose

Happened to me 3 years ago

I was registering online. Accidentally told them I had COVID symptoms over the last 7 days and their automated online system immediately kicked me out and said I was no longer eligible for it lol
