Where you be driving? Like what is that shyt like being on the road?
Literally everywhere. The only place I haven’t been was Florida. The shyt sucks if you ain’t got the right partner or if you ain’t use to being away from your kids /wife for weeks a time. If you have no problem with that then you good. Some folks don’t even have homes, they live on the truck and make that BREAD cuz they have no expenses except storage fees. Imagine if you do that for a year straight with no bills to pay (rent, electricity, car note, car insurance) :takedat:

Pro's:
When you're over the road hometown drama doesn't really reach you.
All you do is drive somewhere to back your trailer into a door
You get to see the 48 states and get paid to do it.
There is plenty of money to be made just keeping that door close moving down the freeway

Con's:
You have kids or loved ones you win miss out on alot of quality time.
Dealing with adverse weather just for the end of the day to climb in the sleeper of the cab
Tougher to be healthy while sitting in a chair up to 14 hours a day
Stressful dispatching (your gonna get ran stupid sooner or later out there)

I was over the road for 3 years traveling the 48 states and Canada. Its all about what fits for you. Its not a good feeling watching your young relatives grow as you drive. I mainly went over the road for the experience so when i want to do something else ill have no problems with the requirements I'm just local now delivering Gas to gas stations. I love it and plan on doing this til i retire.

Hitting a year in a couple of months and weighing my options. FedEx starts at $24 an hour locally but the driver has to touch freight:scust: Luckily I didn't start as an OTR driver otherwise I'd be fukking miserable.

Just switched from Schneider team to Covenant team. My co driver is in the national guard so I’ll be home every other Fri-Sunday. Last day of orientation was yesterday.

How much is the split CPM?

Nothing of substance to add but truck drivers are the biggest tricks I’ve ever met in my life !!
