We about to roll out 10 DBs onto the field at the same time.

Then again Omar Kelly did say that the way this defense is set up nickel DBs play more snaps than DTs most games:manny:

Feeling real good about this draft
I don't know. I'm nervous about drafting players we didn't get to workout ourselves or attend their pro days. Sure the tape doesn't lie but it's a lot of tape for scouts to go through and give their GMs and coaches the thumbs up on these kids while said GMs and coaches can't get to see it up close and in person.

Well...let's hope the Houston pick is top 15 if not top 10 next year:manny: And don't we get the Saints 2nd rounder next year too?

I get your trepidation but in some ways this maybe a blessing in disguise.

The NFL has gotten so caught up on the combine and these pro days that they tend to sometimes disregard a player's film way too many times.

Some dudes are workout warriors and some are just football players.:yeshrug:

Yeah you're right.

Just like Grier said in his interview before the draft " the tape doesn't lie..." and that is true. But so many players in the draft, and you don't know who you'll get a chance to pick and who you won't so you can focus on who you're likely to hyey a chance to pick. I don't know if I explained that right. But anyway. Just seems like a shot load of research to do in a short amount of time since the league wouldn't move the draft. I prefer to draft players that the positional coaches and coordinators have had a chance to see up close.

Anyway,I guess there regional scouts had to really earn their money this year:manny:

True. And if they had pro days and workouts we wouldn't get a chance to sniff Tua at 5. Only reason teams didn't trade up to take him is because they didn't have the chance to get their own doctors to give them the thumbs up to draft him while giving up major assets to move up to take him on the first place.

But we'll see. I'm just hoping our scouts did their homeworks.

The San Francisco 49ers announced an agreement Saturday to trade running back Matt Breida to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the deal's details.

The Niners selected West Virginia offensive tackle Colton McKivitz with the 153rd overall selection acquired in that Day 3 trade.

Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reported the Dolphins discussed a potential deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars for running back Leonard Fournette, but Miami shifted its focus to Breida when talks didn't progress.

First the Dolphins had trade conversations with the Rams about Todd Gurley, then they had discussions with the Jaguars about Leonard Fournette, and today they finally sent a fifth-round pick to the 49ers for RB Matt Breida.

Breida was a key contributor to the 49ers offense to open the 2019 season. His role diminished as the backfield workload shifted more toward Raheem Mostert over the course of the year, though.

The 25-year-old Florida native recorded just nine carries for 19 yards during San Francisco's playoff run. He didn't record a touch in the team's Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern explained Wednesday on KNBR Radio (via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk) he thought the team's entire backfield group would return for 2020.

"I think they want a lot of the guys back, so they're going to do whatever they can to keep everyone back," he said. "I'm just going to sit here, wait and see what happens. But I've got a good feeling we're all going to be back."

Instead, he'll head to Miami where he'll have a better chance to carve out an impact role. The 5'11", 195-pounder will compete with Jordan Howard, Patrick Laird and Kalen Ballage for playing time in 2020.
