I just started new job that is fully remote. My last job was hybrid and I couldn’t leave because I had to be in office 3 days a week.

Now i’m tryna take my money to a cheaper place to live.

I mean if you a black man with yourself together you can clean up easy out there. Can you handle the weather is the question? A lot of those chicks just want some black D ain’t really no brothers out there like that. I used to date this broad from out there she was Mexican though we visited her moms for a week she stayed up under me the entire time i was there. We’d go out mad white/mexican broads was checking me out. It’s really not that many black guys out there.

Mexican and white hoes don’t sound too appealing to be real.

Especially in a hot ass desert

I asked about relocation and he said he could potentially get me a few grand to make the move…:ohhh::jbhmm:

Never agree to this. Moving is super expensive, a minimum of 10gs overall, unless you're doing every single thing by yourself.
You don't want to work for a company that won't fully finance your move. If they really want you, they'll make it happen. If they can't, then you don't want to be there.

been here all my life...also been a black male all my life. started out lower-economic and am now middle class as a middle aged man.

the summer is actually getting hotter and more dangerous.

for the most part, the valley is not any more racist than any other part of america, but those small cities in the far north of the state and on the outskirts of the valley are racist. also, low-level blue collar workplaces full of hispanics or poor asians will be a racial environment. every black factory worker i have ever known feels like they are being ganged up on and discriminated against. i only briefly worked those kinds of jobs when i was just starting out and i actually never had any problems with that, though.

white collar jobs are racist when hiring, but once you make it in, you're pretty much ok. you will struggle to get your foot in the door, but once in, the people you will actually work with tend to behave like liberals (woke when around you) or like "libertarians" (permissive on social issues but just dont like taxes and regulation). contrary to outside perceptions, az is not a red state, it is a purple state where the valley is mostly democrat and the rest of the state is mostly republican (tucson is also liberal).

cost of living has gone up, so it is no longer that much easier to live here than much of america. there is a lot of homelessness, but due to the summer being deadly, we do try to house them more than california does.

I mean what can you do? The demographics for black people not in our favor but from what I saw it was some nice looking women out there. It aint a black metro like DC or anything. You in the desert you just gotta make the most of it. We went swimming to some restaurants and bars it was a cool experience. A lot of chicks was eying me talking to me like what’s up. Cuz I think it was only like 2 other black guys at the pool mainly white and Mexican dudes. You just gotta make the most of it if you make that move.

I can believe what you said about the job thing. The city strikes me as liberal from the outside looking in but once you on the jobs if you not bowing to them, they ganging up on you.
