Nah, in this country "welfare recipients" is synonymous with "poor minorities". Whether it's accurate or not doesn't really matter...perception is 9/10ths of reality. When your average Republican hears "food stamp recipients" they don't think of other white people. This is really why many poor whites are prone to voting Republican even though it's not in their economic interest to do so.

Poor whites have this "I may be poor but I'm still better than a n!gger" mentality. It's an existential pathology, a need for superiority to compensate for their failures. This country is set up for them to succeed, yet they failed.
