Bernie is for real change and you talking about catch phrases :dead:
I said Hope and Change was a bunch of bs but it was somehow plausible. Thats the least I expect from my top class politicians, some top class lies. Bernie hating on the rich (which is his main shtick) does nothing for me, I'm not rich and I can hate on them to my heart's content, shyt I already hate on them in my spare time.
Elections are a courtship prior to a wedding and like in all courtships (at least successful ones) the two parties tell each other self affirming nonsense like you're so smart or that doesn't make you look fat or you have a great family. All plausible bs to achieve an end, not some out of this world lie or jeremiad shtick. No one wants to go on a date and spend the whole time hating on the restaurant. At least tell me I've got dreamy eyes and I might marry your ass and look at my options 4 years later.

Maybe I'm too cavalier but the great thing about American democracy is that it is forward leaning, sunny skies ahead, things are about to get better. Which leads to its true success, a peaceful exchange of power. You start going down this darkness fear mongering path and you'll discover why the exportation of democracy to some of these hard body states has generally failed. In some nations election season is a time of dread.

Fully agree. Obama had perfect message of hope and change in 08 when economy was a disaster and ppl were really struggling. Didn't matter if you didn't vote for him at least the atmosphere of the election was that the country could work thru the rough patch (pls correct me if I'm wrong).

Just seems to me that right now American politics is on a collision course to the bottom. There's always been a bs factor but it's not even subtle anymore. It just seems like everything has jumped the shark.
