That is a good question that everyone in this thread is ignoring.

Why do Republicans win among married women (although it is somewhat close) but lose among single women?

Why did married nonwhite women overwhelmingly vote democratic, regardless of class?
In fact, Romney's success with white women was mostly in the South and Appalachia. They voted just like their husbands.
Outside those regions, Obama did okay with white women. He won the white female vote in the three West Coast states plus Hawaii; four mid-western states (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois), all of the New England states plus New York.

I know that it is hard for left wingers to talk about anything besides race, but let's stick to the subject of this thread since it is a topic that is rarely discussed.

I will ask for the third time: why do you think Republicans win the married woman vote but lose the single woman vote? Why are married women (of any race) more likely to vote Republican than single women?
