cutting weight properly =perform better fight night

imo, i think that shyt a waste of money and something a fighter should take the time out to study on their own. as a fighter, i always want to know what it is im putting in my body. how hard is it really to read a book, or even ask a doctor to find out what nutrients your body needs? really?

im no genius at losing weight but as far as using common sense, you should know to stay away from junk food(candy, burgers, soda, etc). being a pro fighter, nutrition should be apart of your lifestyle. im not saying you have to be a super healthy motherfukkka, i believe in living life and eating bullshyt here and there on a occasion.

I think I should give credit to @SkiHatDaGawd since it looks like he posted this gif originally during the Maidana/Broner fight.

Not everyone wants to go through that though I'd rather they pay someone else to do it than ruin themselves from cutting a ridiculous amount of weight between fights. :manny:

A lot of the old timers have your point of view though, they feel the same way about strength and conditioning which I also think is a must in this day and age as well. :manny:

they aint needed neither! we saw what a so called trainer who's really a strength and conditioning coach did for algieri in the pac fight. :sas2:

if roy jones never brought in fukkin mackey shilstone for the ruiz fight, we wouldn't have all these motherfukkkas in the sport. guys like ariza, and memo thinking they more important then the head trainer smh. not too mentioning they bringing the peds in the sport, got fighters drinking smoothies and not telling anyone what in them lol. trinidad aint use them, julian jackson aint need them, hamed aint need them, list goes on. them motherfukkas is all smoke and mirrors imo but, i respect the hustle :manny: in 2015 they in full demand in boxing and mma.

spoken like a guy that has never dealt with the general public

Believe me when I tell you this, most people are dumb as fukk & want people to do things for them. I will never understand it myself but it is what it is.

I respectfully disagree. Algieri's trainer was a kickboxing guy breh and I'm not saying hiring a S&C coach to replace a trainer, I'm saying that adding them to training camp is a must now a days. Look at what an Ariza-less Maidana was looking like :sas1: PEDs were in boxing wayyyyyyy before dudes hopped on the S&C wave breh we can't put that on them.

Fighters in the past didn't need them because no one was using them and weights were always seen as a no no. Those days are over damn near every fighter who can afford them have them and there is no way better way to add explosive strength + speed without having to sacrifice conditioning than with a legit S&C coach. I always thought shyt was :duck: myself until I started going to the gym at my son's wrestling school, it's mostly wrestlers and mma fighters with a couple of boxing guys but I'm speaking from first hand experience I've never had the stamina + maintaining power that I currently have and I spar less regularly now than I did in '01 and I was in a typical boxing gym calisthenics using no weights shyt back then.

My only issue is that it's crazy expensive if shyt wasn't added into what I pay for my sons wrestling school, I wouldn't be doing it.

I'm not saying shyt gave me more punching power or anything but I feel significantly stronger in a clinch and my balance/footwork improved along with being able to sit on my punches with more frequency without being :dead:
