edit: Oh yeah, @old boy Boldy played a joint off the upcoming album with Alc and it was dope. It sounded like Bernadines mixed with Snort.

Voted V Don and Alan the Chemist. I had to really think about that though. I also wish we heard more from Madlib this year.

love spesh as an emcee. but as a producer? son has his ups and downs. not always a fan of his beats keep it a buck

And Buckwild
I did listen to the Buckwild produced album with Flee Lord because Buckwild, but Flee sounded the best this year over that Hav beat on the Conway album.

his beats sound like someone just getting started. no layers, no depth. same for Eto

Daps to V Don and Preservation but I gotta go with Alchemist. Lots of variety from him this year. The dark, Muggs shyt on Lulu to the dope loops on Alfredo. Not to mention that Boldy album which has his best drums of the year, plus some of his best production.
