What phone do you mess with? I love the connectivity of Google but hate the data collection. I imagine its dam near impossible to have one without the other.

Man, it's impossible. If you really want to have privacy, look into encrypting your cellphone traffic.

That YT shiet caught me off guard.I accidentally clicked on 'link G+ to your YT'. It took me 20 minutes to go to some assbackwards, deeper than the 666th dimension shyt just to find out you can either keep it as is, or unlink your account and delete all your channel subs, favorites, uploads, basically everything.
I don't use Google+ and they want me to use my real name too.

I'm paranoid because every new site wants you to use your real name, or your cellphone number for an activation. I don't want all that shyt out on a globally connected world where someone could obtain it somehow.

Next thing you know it's gonna be 'use your SSN for an activation'.
