Hawes too slow to play 4.
Yup.
Let's take a look at our possible PF's:
Thad- A slasher with an explosive first step and the ability to take his opponent off the dribble, a terrific pick and roll defender an but is undersized and struggles rebounding and matching up to legit NBA bigs, Lacks ball handling and a consistent jumper
Lavoy- A well tempered player who shows the abilty to hit the mid range shot with consistency, also a great post defender and good rebounder but lacks an offensive game or ability to get his own shot
Moultrie- A multi skilled big man who is a legitimate 7'0 tall who is very athletic and can finish strong at the rim, offensively gifted in the post, has a terrific mid range jump shot and can hit the 3 occasionally, is a great rebounder, but struggles on defense and fails to rotate at times
Now if you ask me who to start, I'm gonna say Moultrie because he has all the skills to be the PF for the future, it's about whether he can put it all together.
The starting 5 i would have is:
PG: Holiday, Wayns, Ivey
SG: Turner, N.Young, J-Rich
SF: Thad, Wright
PF: Moultrie, Allen
C: Bynum, Hawes, Brown
Thad is too small to be an everyday PF in this league so I'd move him back to SF, Put Moultrie in at PF to stretch the floor with his terrific jumpshot and he will thrive from the attention Bynum attracts
