Fukk. I'm leaving.
Bye...
Fukk. I'm leaving.
no it isn'tYou don't seem to be paying attention to what I'm typing.
"using discs will become obsolete."
The internet is at that point. Most of the developed world has very fast internet speeds. American companies are simply dragging their feet.
no it isn't
do you know the capabilities that games can now hold...http://www.clipular.com/c/5068958596071424.png?k=ZxyrWmkw6MybnlvcEbLeuVz9EYI
Jeezus Christ. We know that Blu-ray's can hold up to 50+ GB of data.... I cannot imagine all the shyt we can cram on these new discs once they hit the streets and as far as gaming is concerned it's a fukking gamechanger. they'll never have to complain about not having space to put all the stuff on a game again...
4k-8k resolution... with and AD disc... im just looking at it like damn.... why couldnt this come out sooner....? Thoughts?
I want to meet the person 10 years down the line who will still have physical copies of a movie collection.this has nothing to do with gaming. games dont even use up all the blu ray and companies have no incentive to spend more money creating enough assets to fill up 300GB to 1TB of space while charging $60 at a development time of 2-3 years.
this is probably about 4k video. trying to get dummies to throw their blu rays out and 1080p tvs out in favor of a 4ktv and 4k player capable of running these disks
Yep, a lot of these console gaming dudes dont know whats up... infact since budgets are gonna have to fall games might plateau in terms of file size too, with less cutscenes and audio...this has nothing to do with gaming. games dont even use up all the blu ray and companies have no incentive to spend more money creating enough assets to fill up 300GB to 1TB of space while charging $60 at a development time of 2-3 years.

Yall shouldnt be surprised, BRD was never anything but an intro step into HD, there were larger storage media in the works years ago, protein discs and shyt.
It dont matter though, because digital distro is the only thing that's gonna matter soon nobodys gonna own shyt
There is still a massive demand for physical media. Why do you think they all make DVDs?Yall shouldnt be surprised, BRD was never anything but an intro step into HD, there were larger storage media in the works years ago, protein discs and shyt.

For old people that don't get digital distro and people that don't like the way its distributed... but you can't deny the overall trend toward digital. All the game platforms sell digital shyt now. Itunes is huge, streaming and video on demand killed rentals and are coming for TV next. There is still a massive demand for physical media. Why do you think they all make DVDs?
