This is pathetic
she was black balled by the music industry after the lawsuits, everybody knows this. all she did was have a sit down interview with ice cube after the nwa split and they threatened her not to air it but she did and then dre's bytch ass retaliated by beating her up at a party.
He aint do shyt to ice cube tho...

That blackball argument doesn’t make much sense to me This incident took place so long ago that the very industry she was “blackballed” froms infrastructure is totally different -,all the record labels, magazines, hip hop shows-all gone.
You can’t get blackballed from having your own YouTube channel or production company
c'mon man stop pretending like you don't know how the industry is cold as fukk, go ask people like rae dawn chong and many others who even had connections but were all on the 'do not work with' lists etc.
even the star of the last dragon 'taimak' said the same thing, he was black balled cause he wouldn't sleep with top male and female executives in hollywood.

This is a weak excuse.
This ain’t really the time to shame her over not having a job, but this Dre /Dee Barnes incident was over a quarter century ago. The idea that doing something on her own was gonna be railroaded by the industry is preposterous. Her saying she got a new opportunity somewhere is proof of this.
Others have done worse or have had just as bad done to them and bounced back much sooner.
You don't know who jimmy iovine is, go ask benzino/the source magazine creators and many others what happened to their careers. There are numerous examples out there, you don't cross the gay mafia cause they will come for your ass real viciously and make your life absolutely miserable.

They had a major credibility issue when it came to their rating system. The Interscope situation was big too, but that didn’t stop Benzino from starting another magazine and eventually hitting the reality TV circuit.
The game worked in his favor, I am not saying dee couldn't get any job at all, she was definitely blackballed in the business tho. So many people have talked about this. This is not an open secret, she even talked about it a couple of yrs ago. She probably had dreams to move up and become a mogul like many others, I mean she had a cool personality and was likeable on the mic and her columns were ok.
I only asked if she could find work outside the business and you said yes a reply later. The Source had credibility until Benzino and Mays took over.
