Ware has 3 ff, Lee makes plays on the ball and that's it. Rest of the defense doesn't cause turnovers and it's been like this way too long. I see teams like the bears always trying to strip the ball. Even in the past when the cowboys d gets it thrown right to them, they drop it.

This all goes back to the soft culture in Big D. They don't empahasis tackling, they don't emphasis turnovers. They don't force their will on teams. They are a reactive team. Garrett is always talking about "we took what they gave us". nikka go out there and execute your gameplan and force them to stop you.

Romo hasnt been looking Miles way the last two games. They said Miles was open o the last play where Dez caught the pas on the slant. And Miles had a favorable matchup against Moore. Romo don't know how to spread the ball around? I wonder if he's going thought all his progressions when he drops. Though, i know the offensive line isnt helping him, but Miles is just as explosive as Bryant and his hands are probably better.

All that money They paying Miles something's gotta give.

What I'm trippin on though is how T.O. was able to :eat: consistently in that offense and nobody else can at WR.

TO was a great route runner. He works hard on the offense. He's never been accused of taking plays off. Plus it seems like the playbook was more diverse back. TO was runing a lot of cross route and slants. Seems like only the tight ends run those route and when the wide recievers run those route , they have the chemistry with Romo. LIke we seen yesterday with Ogletree and the resulting interception.

That why we shouldve kept Laruant Robinson. He ran the best routes i've seen in Dallas since terry glenn

LRob had good chemistry with Romo. He ate good off of broken plays. When the play broke down he knew where to go to get Romo's attention. He's been nothing in Jville and they will regret that contract. We need more Mr 54 million dollar man. Miles has been a chump the laast few years.

:wow:

Having a pass rush > Having sparkling toys at corner

Having a true safety QB the secondary > Having sparkling toys at corner

Having sparkling toys at corner + average safeties and no pass rush = Worst pass defense in the NFL :beli:

And I noticed alot yesterday Carr and Claiborne lining up 10 yards off the ball. I thought that went out the door with Newman.

Which is why I wasn't pleased with the drafting of Claiborne. Good player. But it's like Jerry doesn't realize how dominant his trenches were in the 90s. He just focuses on the skill positions on the outside and forgets the rest.

I don't blame them for taking Claiborne at all. One of our clearest needs last year was at secondary. We lost several key games due to Terrance Newman, Alan Ball, Frank Walker and the rest getting smoked. Jenkins is a solid corner, but he keeps getting injured. As of late, it's not even really Claiborne that's getting beat, but Carr's man. I can't be too mad since Carr is typically covering the more difficult receiver. Also, I think Barry Church being out is significant. McCray really hasn't impressed me at safety.

In regards to interceptions, I feel a lot of it is because the ball isn't being thrown their way all that often, with the exception of a game like Brandon Marshall being covered by Carr. most of the time when I see the other team marching down the field, it's due to tight ends making a catch, scandrick's guy or a linebacker covering somebody he has no business covering. Usually teams are going up the middle or beating some linebacker in coverage when it comes to the passing game. Wasn't there some play where Demarcus Ware was covering Boldin?

We keep losing because we have no cohesiveness on the team. If it's not one phase losing the game, it's another. One of the most consistent areas of poor performance has been special teams. Special teams has been atrocious. They were responsible for a 108 yard return against the Ravens... Spotted the Seahawks an easy 10 points, etc. Wasn't one of the reasons we lost a game to the giants last year was because a field goal was blocked? And yet we have that same thing happening again this year. The defense hasn't been all that impressive the past few games, but then again, how many games have we had where the offense didn't even get started until the second half? And now we lost this latest game because Garrett has no idea about clock management. How about us being in field goal range late in that Chicago game and Garrett attempts to get Romo to draw Chicago offside, but we end up getting the penalty, pushing us out of fieldgoal range?

Coaching matters, and it's a big problem when your head coach is actively losing you games. We need a head coach who will put players in the best situations to win. I don't feel like we're getting that with Garrett.

excellent post. the 3 phases of the team are never on the same page. never.

for example i expect next week vs carolina the run blocking will disappear and the special teams will be spectacular. they can never be consistent week to week.

I just feel we need a coach who is a MAN!

Somebody that isn't in Jerry's back pocket. Last guy like that was Bill Parcells and before him, Jimmy Johnson. Neither coach was scared to stand up to Jerry and tell him to "fukk off" Thats why they win. No other team in the league has their owner all up in the business...The Deadskins USED to, but their owner smartened up and stayed his ass in the million dollar luxury box and signed checks, and left the football to the people he PAYS to handle that.

I think Jerry is becoming/has become the new Al Davis, meddling in the football side when he just needs to keep his ass on the business side (even then not much of that) and let the people you pay handle those things...

We need a headstrong coach that will back Jerry down if need be, stand up to him and let him know THIS is how its gonna be

there is a reason romo went undrafted. he has his defiencies. one of them is his inability to read the defense in a timely matter. the other is his tunnel vision when it comes to spreading the ball around.
