Def. a top 5 bond song ever.

Actually, its very hard to find a straight up wack ass bond song.

That Madonna song though, yeah, that could def. be a contender.
Word, the madonna song fukking blows

In that era there are some awesome songs too

Top ten songs to me excluding the og theme

Tier zero:
Gold finger

Tier one:
Live and let die (i marked out big time when they played it in american hustle)
You only live twice (gorgeous)
Tomorrow never dies

Tier two:
Diamonds are forever
The spy who loved me (nobody does it better)
A license to kill

Tier three:
Thunderball (tom jones went IN)
Skyfall
The world is not enough

WOAT:
The man with golden gun :beli: so OBVIOUS
Die another day :trash:

Yeah, the brosnan era had some good ones. That Goldeneye joint was tuff.

But Die Another Day and Man with the golden gun are straight up terrible. Going through the list those are the only two I'd put in the trash bin for good.

shyt, even the straight ass cheek bond films had some piff songs, imo. "Moonraker" by Shirley was tight too, and one of my personal fav's, and that film was ass.

One thing about the Craig era films, and Ive enjoyed them a lot, none of em have that real memorable title themes though. They've all just been "good".

They've had cool credit rolls (like..the credit sequence...especially casino royale and skyfall) but the songs arent exactly outstanding agreed

that cascade of vocal symphony @4m

:wow:

bond in general I agree with Nobody Does It Better (posted above) ... it is the quintessential ode to bond and the britishness of bond. it is at its heart as "bond" in spirit as it gets.

goldfinger is THE classic. just the first few seconds is classic signature bond. it along with the film established the bond tropes and mythos.

also good:

you know my name: brilliant video, energy and rebirth.

all time high: classy, coolidge's voice

live and let live: twists, turns, 110% matches the movie. mccartney showing that he is not just beatles pop.

you only live twice: wispy extract of bond blended with swami boo 60's zeitgeist

the only recent singer that can stand vocally with Knight (Licensed to Kill) or Bassey (Goldfinger) is Adele. Adele has the potential to match them, given time. billie eilish is surprisingly good as well.

They always always have a theme song that's the fun part of it seeing what they they come up with during the opening credits. I remember sitting in the theater as a kid taking this all in for the intro to GoldenEye since it was my first Bond movie. That's why we go to the movies
