Goldeneye 007 with online play coming to Switch on January 27, 2023

Glad I copped the N64 controller last year. I couldn't imagine playing this with anything else.

Framerate is much smoother and seems locked at 30 fps. Not ideal but MUCH better than the original

It's honestly not bad once you map the buttons

I did it on the pro controller and the joycons.

Since you got the n64 controller you're good, but if you ever want the joycons to lie on the couch or whatever. Here is a decent configuration. I even tried it with Mario 64 and major mask and it's pretty good.

Although for 007 I doubled up on the B button, I can open doors with L while using ZL to aim and ZR to shoot and change weapons with R

I've been playing all night.


You can remap the buttons and they feel fine.

Honestly they feel better on Xbox because in addition to remapping in game, you can also change the sensitivity. So imo, it's super smooth.

For switch you gotta create a controller preset and all that. Then switch the presets back to normal if other people play cause all the buttons are different and they'll be like "it's broken!!!!"

You coppin the oled or the lite? Might as well get the family n64 subscription rather than the individual plan. Then you can play starfox or goldeneye on both.

Make a preset.

It's actually not bad. It ain't difficult to do and when you power the switch off or sleep mode it and turn it back on it acknowledges the presets were changed and asks if you want to reset.

I did find out how to crouch. You gotta hold aim and push c-down or whatever. On Xbox it's just whatever button you map it too.

Plus N64 version has save states.......


If someone would have told me 5 years ago. I'd be playing goldeneye 007 on switch, with Bluetooth headphones on. Ida called them a damn liar. 10 years ago I would thought they were mentally ill.
